A studio of one.

Surfd is one person. I design the site, write the words, build the pages, and answer the phone. There is no account manager, because there is no one to manage. You talk to the person doing the work.

I work with local businesses: restaurants, trades, wine shops, salons. Anyone whose customers used to search and now ask.

The studio exists because of a problem that’s easy to miss: a business pays real money for a site that genuinely looks good, and an AI reads it and finds twenty-five words. Beautiful, and invisible. Nobody did anything wrong. The ground moved.

So every site I build is designed twice: once for the person looking at it, once for the machine reading it. The film on the front page isn’t a metaphor. It’s the audit I run on every site that comes through the door, including this one.
